The Isole di Brissago are unveiling a unique experience: the special opening of the Rabbit Island (also known as “Isola Piccola”), made accessible to the public via a floating walkway.

From August 30 to October 5, 2025, every weekend you can “walk on water” and explore a place usually reserved for wild nature, right next to the renowned Botanical Garden of the Isole di Brissago.

Every weekend features a rich line-up:

On weekdays, there will be workshops and educational activities for schools and groups as part of the “L’isola che c’è” project.

How to reach the Isole di Brissago

The Isole di Brissago are easily reached by boat from Ascona, Locarno, Brissago, San Nazzaro and Porto Ronco.⛴️ Check the official boat timetables (season valid until October 19, 2025).Travel time: about 15 minutes from Ascona; 40–60 minutes from Locarno depending on the timetable.
